Excess Delivery is a set of two delivery side missions in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.

Description

The Excess Delivery side mission is automatically activated by entering the Alphamail delivery van parked in one of these two locations:

• Behind the Liberty State Delivery post office in Middle Park East (Excess Delivery - Liberty State Delivery).
• In front of the Alpha Mail depot in Industrial (Excess Delivery - Alpha Mail).

Each Excess Delivery mission comes with a predetermined route, depending on which Alphamail van the player entered.

Description

The objective of the mission is to collect the designated packages before any of the four rivals driving gang-based Burritos do, then deliver the packages to their destinations. A Triad henchman will also aid the player throughout the mission, fending off the rivals using his Uzi. There are 5 packages that the player needs to collect and deliver, with one available at any time. Once a package is successfully delivered, the next package appears.

Depending on how many packages have been delivered, the player will be awarded a medal: bronze medal for 3 packages, silver medal for 4 packages and gold medal for all 5 packages. As with other side missions, the player only needs to obtain a bronze medal for the purpose of 100% game completion.

There's no time limit to complete this mission, only a timer that indicates how long it took for the player to deliver all 5 packages. Once the mission is completed, the player can replay it to beat their best time.

Reward

Upon obtaining a Gold medal in both Excess Delivery missions, the player will unlock the "Big Pants" bonus, which doubles the number of drugs that Huang can carry for the purpose of drug dealing.

• This side-mission is similar to the mission in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories called Nice Package. In both missions, the player has to get a package whilst preventing rivals from doing the same and getting help from another person.
