Power Core is a landmark in the neighborhood of Escobar in the Industrial District, Anywhere City, in Grand Theft Auto 2.
Description
The Zaibatsu Corporation-owned facility is located in the southwestern portion of Escobar. While serving as one of city's many electric utility companies, the Power Core is mainly used by the Zaibatsu boss Uno Carb as his own personal storage for luxury cars and for kidnapping. It is heavily guarded by Zaibatsu agents.
History
Events of Grand Theft Auto 2
Uno Carb uses the red payphones in the facility to give Claude Speed two missions, including stealing a Tank by getting attention from the army, only to find out that the vehicle is booby-trapped. A second Tank is subsequently stolen from the district's Army Base.
At some point, while working for the Russian Mafia, Claude Speed attacks the Power Core in order to rescue Jerkov's Russian gangsters.
