The Alderney Sprunk Factory is a derelict Sprunk factory in Grand Theft Auto IV and Episodes from Liberty City located on Argus Street in Tudor, Alderney.
Description
The factory is in close proximity to Honkers Gentlemen's Club. It has three floors and a basement. It is accessible, though it is heavily run-down inside. Various items of rubbish and debris can be found in the factory.
Abandoned train tracks that lead to an underground tunnel can be found next to the factory. Some tramps can occasionally be found in the tunnel, and a hole in the brick wall leads into the factory.
Influence
The factory may be primarily based on the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills, a former mill complex in the Cabbagetown District of Atlanta, Georgia, which served as the principal setting for the 1992 action film Trespass—a film that seemingly inspired the title of the Grand Theft Auto IV mission Trespass set within the factory.
The location of the factory in the State of Alderney, its function as an abandoned beverage plant, and its prominent rooftop bottle sign are likely inspired by an abandoned Pabst brewery in Newark, New Jersey, which was demolished in 2008 following its closure in the mid-1980s.[1]
Events
Grand Theft Auto IV
The factory serves a significant role during the mission Trespass, where Phil Bell sends Niko Bellic to the factory to take out Charles Matteo for threatening to inform The Commission that it was the Pegorino Family who stole the cocaine from the Russian Mafia.
