—Liberty City Area Street Map description

Star Junction is bordered to the north by Nickel Street (Middle Park, to the east by Columbus Avenue (Hatton Gardens & Lancet), to the south by Jade Street (The Triangle), and to the west by Frankfort Avenue (Westminster & Purgatory.) It is the commercial hub of Algonquin, characterised by its towering glass skyscrapers, exuberant shops and iconic LED advertisments and scrollbars.

Star Junction is mentioned in The Chop Shop update in Grand Theft Auto Online. Yusuf Amir mentions that he crashed a Pfister there while doing donuts the day prior to the GTA Online Protagonist delivering another Pfister to him.[1] It is also one of the few places where buses are parked.

Possibly, it's called Star Junction because of how the junction of Kunzite Street, Denver-Exeter Avenue and Burlesque resembles a five-pointed star.

Influence

Star Junction is based on Times Square in Manhattan, New York City. While most districts in Liberty City are generally not strictly adherent to the design of their real-life inspiration, the design of Star Junction seems more accurate to that of Times Square.
