Snapshots are a collectible in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Description
There are 50 Snapshots located all around San Fierro and city limits, which the player must find and photograph using a Camera. The Camera has several spawn points in San Fierro, all located near Snapshot locations.
The Snapshot location indicators appear as a rotating circular camera icon, only visible when viewed in first-person through the Camera's viewfinder. Between 00:00 and 05:00, a pinkish glow can be seen without the Camera, which marks where the snapshot icons are. Outside of these hours the glow can be seen using Night Vision Goggles.
Each Snapshot taken rewards the player with $100, totaling $5,000 for photographing all Snapshots. Photographing all 50 Snapshots is a requirement for the 100% completion.
Exploits
The player is allowed to capture Snapshots through structures and buildings from a long range by zooming in with the Camera, regardless whether the Snapshot pickup is visible onscreen or centered.
It is also possible to catch a glimpse of a Snapshot icon without the need of a camera if the player speeds towards one, it will be visible for a second before disappearing.
Availability
The Snapshots are available upon gaining control of Carl Johnson during In the Beginning (collecting them before San Fierro is unlocked is risky due to a 4-star wanted level obtained). The player is informed of their availability at the end of the mission Photo Opportunity.
Rewards
Collecting all 50 Snapshots will reward the player with additional $100,000 bonus (totaling $105,000), and spawn points for the Shotgun, Micro SMG, Sniper Rifle and Grenades in front of the Doherty Garage.

- The Snapshot indicator icon originates from an unused "
pickupcamera" item in Grand Theft Auto III, later found as a leftover in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City where it is colored pink due to item pickup texture shared with all pickups being updated with a pink texture, hence its pink color in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
