Labrat is a character appearing as a tritagonist in the Los Santos Drug Wars update for Grand Theft Auto Online.
History
Background
Labrat, real name unknown and PhD in Psychedelics Research, is a member of the Fooliganz gang led by Dax, and, later in 2022, The Freakshop's resident chemist. He is Dax's "personal physician" and Mutt's mentor.

First Dose
Labrat is first introduced to the GTA Online Protagonist by Dax after the Fooliganz take over Trevor Philips' disused meth lab at Ace Liquor in Sandy Shores. Shortly after showing his knowledge of psychedelics, the group are suddenly attacked by The Lost MC, who steal Dax's Journey II, while others remain behind in an attempt to take out the Fooliganz. After retrieving the stolen trailer, Labrat and the Fooliganz are relocated to a warehouse in the Mirror Park Railyard, where they set up The Freakshop.
During the GTA Online Protagonist's Fooliganz initiation test, Labrat and his protegé Mutt provide a bottle of what appears to be Logger Beer, and Dax begins praising the player for all the work they have done for the troupe so far. Upon saying cheers, the player drinks the entire bottle, only then be informed by Labrat that he has "never seen anybody take that much acid that fast", followed by a multitude of drugged up segments.
As a personal favor for Labrat, Dax asks the GTA Online Protagonist to infiltrate the Humane Labs and steal precursor chemicals that Labrat needs for their acid. Once there, the player fights their way through Merryweather Security forces and steals several bottles of chemicals from the loading bay.
Last Dose
In early 2023, Labrat, after getting high on acid, has an episode of paranoia at The Freakshop, leading Dax to get his Rocket Launcher to snap him out of it. However, while everyone is distracted, mercenaries working for Dr. Isiah Friedlander enter The Freakshop and kidnap Labrat.
After a brief investigation, the GTA Online Protagonist discovers the location of the FriedMind HQ in the Eclipse Medical Tower and rescues Labrat with the help of fellow Fooliganz member Luchadora. In the process, they come face-to-face with Dr. Friedlander, who explains that he required Labrat's talents to create a new wonder drug for his psychedelic-assisted therapy business. As Labrat is one of only three chemists in the world with a PhD in the specialised field of psychedelics, Friedlander saw no option but to kidnap him after the other two had refused to cooperate, but found that Labrat's mind was too far gone to be of any use.
Still hoping to make a fortune with his new product, which is ten times more potent than psilocybin, Friedlander invites the GTA Online Protagonist to accompany him to South America, but the latter is uncooperative. As the lights in the room are cut out, Friedlander decides to make his escape, leaving his guards to deal with the player and Luchadora. After eliminating the guards, the player and Luchadora free Labrat, who is still high on drugs, and carry him into a nearby Granger 3600LX, which the player drives back to The Freakshop.
With Labrat rescued, the player and Luchadora later go on a mission to retrieve Friedlander's new product before he escapes with it to South America, and are ultimately successful.

- His name is a play on "lab rat". The name "Labrat" could also be a reference to Dr. LaBrat from Grand Theft Auto 2.
